Motivation
Love is the only pure motive
Fear is not a virtuous motive
Guilt is not a virtuous motive
Pressure to please another is not a pure motive
The ease of the way is not a pure motive
Personal gain or acclamation is not a pure motive
What should I love?
All that is praiseworthy and good
All should be nurtured and preserved
I should love all natural life- all life
I should love humanity and work to preserve them
The things I want to express are too long too lengthy for a painting or series of paintings
I need to become more brevitous
Brevity
Intelligence is the most precious life
It should be preserved above all else
It is what I love and value most

You value intelligence above all else or knowledge?
I like the idea of what you're saying, but I think you ought to clarify your idea of intelligence Jack. There are infinite things of value to be learned from people all over the world that may be less fortunate than us as far as education is concerned.
Although someone may not have a college degree, anyone is capable of offering a bright idea, words of comfort and precious advice, or even a different perspective.
After all, everyone has their own angle.
Inteligence: capasity for learning and understandin.
Knowledge: acquaintance with facts or information obtained by study
Inteligence can be possessed by any individual; ignorant, bound, free or educated. Their oppertunities do not afford them greater or lesser inteligence. The volume of knowledge one obtaines is directly corilated with how much information one has been exposed to. Inteligence needs no knowledge: knowledge can only be gained by one possing inteligence.
Interesting that most religions use fear, guilt and pressure as a way to "encourage" obedience.
Love IS the only pure motive. It is not easy to love when there is so much hate and anger in the world today.
How can we determine what is praiseworthy and good? A painting to an art enthusiast is good and praiseworthy. To another it may not be.
Unfortunately, there isn't a clear-cut way to classify goodness and praiseworthiness; they're too subjective.
hmmm.... *nod*... I like... hmmm... *thinking - returning to her corner*
